About Us

Keith Hagan joined Paul Freundlich Associates (PFA) months after the company’s 2002 opening. In his role at the company, Hagan has been and remains responsible for all day-to-day operations involving client and staff management. His experience in the music industry offers PFA, and its clientele, a wealth of knowledge, credibility and management skills that have been utilized on a wide range of artists. Since joining PFA those have included: Starsailor, Paul Weller, Razorlight, 3 Doors Down, Kenny Rogers, Papa Roach, Jo Dee Messina, Athlete, Alter Bridge, Pat Green, Shinedown, Sevendust , Jeff Klein & Joseph Arthur among numerous others.

Hagan was responsible for the launch of The Austin City Limits Music Festival, as well as The Zippo Hot Tour, both of which rose to national prominence under his direction. He also worked with Target on the 2007 launch of their music program, The Spotlight Music Series.

In 2005 after hearing a four song demo from an acquaintance, Hagan brought Welsh rockers People In Planes over for their first U.S. showcase. With his help and guidance, a major label bidding war broke out for the band’s services resulting in a huge deal for them with Wind-Up Records. The band’s debut album for Wind-Up …As Far As The Eye Can See was a critical success in the U.S. in 2006.

Prior to joining PFA, Hagan served for nearly eight years as the VP Publicity for Mammoth Records (A division of the Walt Disney Company). During his tenure at Mammoth, Hagan oversaw the publicity department and was responsible for creating and implementing the press campaigns for the entire roster including: Squirrel Nut Zippers, Seven Mary Three, Juliana Hatfield, Victoria Williams, Joe Henry, Jason & The Scorchers and many others.

Before his long tenure at Mammoth Records, Hagan served as the “alternative” publicist at Arista Records for two years. During that time he spearheaded the campaign for Sarah McLachlan’s break-through album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy.

Hagan’s skills and background have enabled him to service music-oriented clientele no matter the genre as is apparent from his varied roster. His understanding and first-hand experience as to the inner workings of the record industry make him an invaluable asset to PFA.
